The White House has released a glowing video celebrating the rapport between Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and US President Donald Trump after the pair signed a $8.5 billion critical minerals deal .

A video montage of yesterday's landmark meeting, posted to the White House's official social media channels, featured clips of the leaders and uplifting music playing in the background.

"A lot of friends over there and this is one of them right here," Trump said in the video as he gestured towards Albanese.

"We work together very much on rare earths, critical minerals and lots of other things."

Albanese echoed Trump's sentiments, describing the pair as "great friends" and "great allies".
