Producer Naga Vamsi found himself at the receiving end of heavy trolling after the failure of “War 2.”

Having acquired the theatrical rights to the NTR–Hrithik Roshan film, and buoyed by his close relationship with NTR, Vamsi made bold public predictions before the release, and even urging fans to push the film’s collections beyond the Hindi version.

When the film underperformed, the backlash was intense.

Social media critics and some fan groups targeted him, and unverified reports even claimed he had gone off the grid, switched off his phone, and fled to Dubai to dodge distributors.

Some posts went as far as to suggest he was bankrupt.
