Having acquired the theatrical rights to the NTR–Hrithik Roshan film, and buoyed by his close relationship with NTR, Vamsi made bold public predictions before the release, and even urging fans to push the film’s collections beyond the Hindi version.
When the film underperformed, the backlash was intense.
