GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) - A judge denied bond Tuesday for the Santa Fe High School student arrested after a stabbing at the school.

David Christopher Teague, 18, will remain in jail while his case moves forward. Teague is pleading not guilty.

Alachua police say Teague got into an argument with another male student in the courtyard during lunch time one week ago. Officers say Teague stabbed him three times in the back with a five-inch pocket knife.

Other students pulled the two apart.

The victim was rushed to the hospital. As of last week, his condition was listed as critical but stable.
