The Kerala High Court is set to watch the Malayalam film 'Haal' on Saturday (October 25), following a petition from the film’s makers who have challenged the Central Board of Film Certification’s (CBFC) directive to delete specific scenes and dialogues. The filmmakers have stated that arrangements for this screening will be made at a venue in Kakkanad in Kerala.
According to the film’s director and producer, the scenes the CBFC wants removed are crucial to the film’s overall theme, including sequences involving the consumption of beef biriyani and the use of Muslim religious attire by the film's female lead.
