A magnitude 5.1 earthquake struck Afghanistan's Hindu Kush region on Tuesday, the European Mediterranean Seismological Centre said. The quake was at a depth of 244 kilometers (152 miles), the EMSC said.
Meanwhile, the National Center for Seismology (NCS) reported that the earthquake was of 6.1 magnitude and occurred at a depth of 220 kilometres.
Strong tremors were felt in Afghanistan's capital city of Kabul, Reuters reported.
The trembler also sent significant shock throughout the Kashmir region. According to reports, there have been no losses of property or casualties in Kashmir.
