One of the most overlooked aspects of living in Rockford is the ease of getting to Chicago . The Windy City has some of the best food on the planet, not just in America.

And while the food in Rockford is pretty darn standout, it's hard to compete with some of the culinary wonders that come out of Chicago. That's why I'm glad it's about an hour to 75 minutes away if you want to make a night or weekend out of a food trip. Based on what I saw from OpenTable just recently, it seems like one needs to be made soon.
