LAS VEGAS ( FOX5 ) — A driver was taken to the hospital in critical condition after a crash in west Las Vegas Wednesday night.

Officials with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department said the crash happened just after 9:30 p.m. at Rampart Boulevard and Alta Drive. Police said it only involved one car.

Police said northbound and southbound lanes of Rampart Boulevard are restricited due to debris. Traffic Bureau officers are on scene and have taken over the investigation.

Police advise drivers to avoid the area and seek different routes.
