The Colorado Mesa volleyball team took home a pair of Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference weekly honors after a 2-0 homestand last week, the conference announced Monday.

Freshman opposite hitter Henley Madsen was selected the conference’s offensive player of the week after a career-high 17-kill performance in the Mavericks’ first game of the week, a four-set win over Colorado Christian. Madsen also recorded 15 digs in the match to complete her first collegiate double-double. She also added 11 kills in the school’s second match of the week, a 3-1 victory over CSU Pueblo, to reach a team-high 28 kills on the week.

Freshman setter Ashlyn Tafoya, meanwhile, was picked as the conference’s setter of the week for her own performances across the two games. The Loveland native tallied 83 assists a
