The Colorado Mesa volleyball team took home a pair of Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference weekly honors after a 2-0 homestand last week, the conference announced Monday.
Freshman opposite hitter Henley Madsen was selected the conference’s offensive player of the week after a career-high 17-kill performance in the Mavericks’ first game of the week, a four-set win over Colorado Christian. Madsen also recorded 15 digs in the match to complete her first collegiate double-double. She also added 11 kills in the school’s second match of the week, a 3-1 victory over CSU Pueblo, to reach a team-high 28 kills on the week.
