Madrid, Oct 22 (UNI) FC Barcelona recorded their second Champions League victory of the season with a commanding 6-1 win against Olympiakos at home, highlighted by a hat-trick from Fermin Lopez.
However, the match proved more challenging and controversial than the final score suggested.
Barcelona looked to be more in control by halftime, with Lopez netting twice on his return. Olympiakos, however, pulled one back in the 52nd minute through an Ayoub El Kaabi penalty.
Their frustration deepened moments later when Eric Garcia was penalized for handball in a move that ended with El Kaabi heading into the Barca net.
Olympiakos coach Jose Luis Mendilibar was even less pleased when his side was reduced to 10 men shortly afterwards. Santiago Hezze received a second yellow card for brushing Ma
