When reflecting on her team’s highs and lows over the last few weeks, Camas goalkeeper Natalie Grajeda summed up the experience succinctly.

“You have to lose in order to know what it feels like to win,” she said.

It’s a reminder the Papermakers don’t take for granted, now more than ever after earning a 1-0 win over Skyview on Tuesday to force a tie for first place in the 4A Greater St. Helens League.

Their path to league title contention came with no room for error after losing to Union Oct. 2 in their league opener, followed by a draw against Skyview one week later. Camas has won three straight since, and with a win Thursday against Battle Ground, the Papermakers can reclaim the league title after the Storm won it in 2024.
