Acting on a complaint of alleged unlawful detention and police misconduct, the Haryana Human Rights Commission (HHRC) has sought a detailed report from the Superintendent of Police, Bhiwani, regarding the conduct of Assistant Sub Inspector Virendra Singh of the Sadar police station. The report is to be submitted via the Commission’s Director of Investigation by December 17.

The action follows a petition filed by Ashok Kumar, a resident of the Dhana Janga village, who claims he was threatened, detained without arrest, and later wrongfully confined by ASI Virendra Singh on June 13. The complainant alleges that he was summoned to the police station, held there from morning to evening, subjected to intimidation, and eventually detained overnight without proper legal grounds.
