KOCHI: The complainant has moved the high court against the notice of the police to record her statement in the sexual abuse case against rapper Vedan. The woman approached the high court demanding that the notice sent by the police revealed her identity and it be cancelled.

The Ernakulam Central Police registered a case on August 21 based on the complaint sent by the research student to the chief minister via email. The police had stated that all they had was information from the email ID and that they could not proceed with the investigation based on this alone. It is in this context that the police sent the notice to the complainant. The woman has approached the high court against this notice.
