Six people — including a baby — have been taken to hospital following a serious crash in Perth’s south.

First responders rushed to the scene after reports of a multi-car collision at the intersection of Nicholson Road and Thomas Road, in Oakford, about 11.50am on Wednesday.

Two children — a baby boy and a girl under 10 years old — were rushed to Perth Children’s Hospital.

One woman, aged in her 30s, was transported to Royal Perth Hospital under lights and sirens.

A man and woman, both in their 30s, were also taken to RPH under normal road conditions, whilst a man, also aged in his 30s, was transported to Fiona Stanley Hospital.

The RAC Rescue Helicopter was called to the scene, but it was stood down.

Nicholson Road has been closed in both directions at Thomas Road and Foxton Drive.
