MUMBAI: An Air India flight operating from Mumbai to Newark, AI191, made a precautionary air-return to its origin city earlier today due to a suspected technical issue. The aircraft landed safely back at Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport. Following the safe landing, the aircraft was taken out of service for necessary inspections, said an Air India spokesperson. As a consequence of the incident, both the outbound flight, AI191, and the corresponding inbound flight, AI144 (scheduled to operate from Newark to Mumbai), were cancelled. Air India said it has taken steps to mitigate the disruption for affected travelers. Passenger
