In a gripping operation, wildlife officials successfully captured a three-metre python in Rajouri district's Rajal village, after being alerted by local residents.

The reptile, nestled within a haystack in a cattle shed, was extracted after several hours of meticulous effort by the wildlife department team.

This incident follows another recent capture of a similarly large python in Nowshera tehsil, highlighting recurring wildlife encounters in the region.
