A 33-year-old man was seriously wounded when he was shot in northeast Rochester late Tuesday, according to police.

The shooting occurred at a home on Moulson Street around 11:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 21, said. Lt. Nicholas Adams of the Rochester Police Department. Officers were called to the area, where they found the man in the doorway of his own home with a gunshot wound to his upper body.

The man, a Rochester resident, was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital with injuries that are considered life-threatening, Adams said.

Officers are investigating, to determine the circumstances of the shooting. No charges have been filed in connection with the incident. Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call 911.
