Cleveland population losses have forced a reduction in the number of Cleveland City Council wards from 17 to 15, rejuggling districts and requiring geographically larger new wards that are in effect for the Nov. 4 election -- and for the council members who will take office early next year. For Ward 7 in Glenville, now represented by Stephanie Howse-Jones, that means a new number -- Ward 8 -- and slightly less of historic Glenville but more of the St. Clair/Superior neighborhood as well as the lakeshore east of Burke Lakefront Airport.
