Sequim residents filled four dumpsters on Saturday, Oct. 18 as part of the biannual Rally in the Alley.
Long lines of vehicles led into the City Shop and Carrie Blake Community Park filled with miscellaneous debris, hardware, furniture, building supplies, and more.
The event occurs each October and April for two hours or until dumpsters are full as an ongoing partnership between the City of Sequim, Habitat for Humanity of Clallam County, and Olympic Disposal.
This event featured 20 student volunteers with Sequim High School’s Interact Club, and six scouts with Scouting America Troop 90 working alongside city and Habitat staff.
Organizers said some items are handpicked at the events to be sold in Habitat’s stores.
