The Ministry of Information & Broadcasting (MIB) has reported significant progress under Special Campaign 5.0, aimed at institutionalizing Swachhata, enhancing efficiency, and reducing pendency across its offices and media units nationwide.
According to the Ministry, the implementation phase of the campaign, which began on October 2, has already yielded notable results. In the first fortnight, from October 2 to October 17, a total of 493 outdoor campaigns were conducted, 973 spots cleaned, and 104 vehicles condemned as part of the cleanliness drive.
The Ministry said around 1.43 lakh kilograms of scrap have been disposed of, generating revenue of Rs 34.27 lakh and freeing up approximately 8,007 square feet of space. About 13,900 physical files were reviewed, with 3,957 files weeded out,
