At least 46 people were killed and several others injured when two buses collided head-on during an overtaking manoeuvre on a major highway in Uganda early on Wednesday, police said.
The crash happened just after midnight on the Kampala-Gulu highway in Kiryandongo district, in the north of the country. According to a police statement posted on X, the two buses “met head-on during the overtaking manoeuvres".
