As the shutdown drags on, millions of people could lose their Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, or SNAP, benefits by the end of the month. In Cincinnati, the Freestore Foodbank is bracing for what comes next.

Freestore Foodbank is one of the local organizations that connects neighbors to federal assistance.

In the past year alone, the foodbank says they've helped provide about nine million meals through SNAP in Cincinnati.
