Four linked to cross-border smuggling module held with 4 sophisticated pistols

Chandigarh, October 22, 2025: In a major breakthrough amidst the ongoing drive to make Punjab a safe and secure state as per directions of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, State Special Operation Cell (SSOC) Amritsar has busted a cross-border smuggling network with the arrest of four key operatives and recovered four sophisticated .30 bore Star mark pistols along with ammunition from their possession, said Director General of Police (DGP) Punjab Gaurav Yadav here on Wednesday.

Those arrested have been identified as Jugraj Singh alias Chiri of village Bhagwanpura in Tarn Taran, Kulbir Singh alias Nannu ali
