The Islanders made it just six games into the season before making a change to their coaching staff.
Director of goaltending Piero Greco was let go Wednesday morning and replaced by Sergei Naumovs, The Post has learned.
Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman first reported the news.

Greco, who had been with the Islanders since 2017 and worked for the Leafs while Lou Lamoriello was GM prior, was promoted to his current role last season.
That was also when Naumovs, who worked with Ilya Sorokin in Russia, was brought in as the goalie coach for AHL Bridgeport.
