An IndiGo flight travelling from Kolkata to Srinagar made an emergency landing at Varanasi Airport on Wednesday evening after a suspected fuel leak was detected mid-air.
The flight, numbered 6E-551, was carrying 166 passengers at the time of the incident, as per Hindustan Live.
According to initial reports, the crew noticed signs of a possible fuel leak shortly after take-off and immediately alerted *Varanasi Air Traffic Control (ATC).
After receiving clearance, the pilot carried out an emergency landing following standard safety procedures.
Eyewitnesses at the airport said panic spread among passengers when the aircraft began its descent earlier than scheduled, but the crew managed the situation calmly. “Everyone was terrified for a few minutes, but the landing
