LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - A 50-year-old man from Lansing was killed Tuesday night in a two-vehicle crash in Eaton County.

Troopers from the Michigan State Police Lansing Post responded to the scene at the intersection of Mount Hope Highway and Muliken Road in Roxand Township around 7:00 p.m.

According to the preliminary investigation, a 27-year-old man from Fowler was driving a silver Pontiac Vibe northbound on Muliken Road when a black Chevrolet Malibu, driven by a 42-year-old Lansing man traveling eastbound on Mount Hope Highway, failed to stop at a stop sign.

The Pontiac struck the Malibu on the passenger side, causing both vehicles to come to rest in a nearby cornfield.

The front-seat passenger of the Malibu, a 50-year-old Lansing man, was pronounced dead at the scene.
