Production spending on movies and television shows filmed in New Jersey hit a record $833 million last year, state officials announced Tuesday.
The 556 productions, which included the Oscar-nominated " A Complete Unknown " starring Timothée Chalamet and " Happy Gilmore 2 ,“ employed more than 30,000 crew members.
The Adam Sandler sequel alone spent $152 million during its 64-day filming period in the state, according to the New Jersey Motion Picture and Television Commission.
Other notable productions in 2024 included " The Housemaid " starring Sydney Sweeney and Amanda Seyfried, " The Beast in Me " starring Claire Danes, Kathryn Bigelow’s " A House of Dynamite ," and " Deliver Me from Nowhere ," the Bruce Springsteen biopic.
