The Parker Thundering Herd had one of the most dominant defenses in state history last season, yielding only 10 points per game on the way to a 14-1 record and Class 6A state championship.

Except for the loss against national powerhouse Carrollton, Ga., Parker did not allow any opponent to score more than 17 points.
