Duquesne football has had some of its best years recently, going to the FCS Playoffs in 2023 and winning a share of the Northeast Conference title in two of the past three years. With the 2025 season nearing an end, Duquesne looks poised for another opportunity to become a champion.

That won’t come without its fair share of challenges, though. The Dukes (4-3, 3-0 NEC) are currently in the midst of a three-game road trip, just beating Mercyhurst 37-0 last Saturday night. Both teams entered the game at 2-0 in conference play, and Duquesne was the one able to keep its NEC record perfect.

Duquesne relied heavily on its run game throughout the contest, accumulating 356 rushing yards spread among four talented Duquesne running backs. The Dukes are now averaging over 178 rushing yards per game,
