New Orleans Saints all-time passing leader Drew Brees advanced to the next step of his inevitable election into the Pro Football Hall of Fame on Wednesday, when he became one of 52 modern-era players to proceed ahead in the voting process for the Class of 2026.
Former Saints guard Jahri Evans , a two-time finalist for HOF induction, also again advanced to the final 52.
Brees spent 15 seasons of his 20-year NFL career with the Saints and currently ranks second all-time in league history in passing yards (80,358) and passing touchdowns (571), first in completions (7,142), fourth in wins (172) and third in completion percentage (67.7).
He leads New Orleans in every statistical passing category and is in his first year of eligibility for the HOF, after retiring in 2020.
Brees joined th
