The Colts on Wednesday opened cornerback Jaylon Jones' 21-day window to be activated from injured reserve, head coach Shane Steichen said.

Jones will begin participating in practice on Wednesday and can be activated off injured reserve at any point between today and Nov. 12 (which is during the Colts' bye week).

Jones missed a few weeks of training camp due to a hamstring injury, then sustained an injury to the same hamstring while on special teams during the Colts' Week 1 win over the Miami Dolphins. The Colts placed Jones on injured reserve on Sept. 13.

Over his three years with the Colts, Jones has appeared in 35 games (27 starts) with two interceptions, 15 pass break-ups and 144 tackles. In 2024, Jones earned AFC Defensive Player of the Week honors with two interceptions in Week 3 a
