SALT LAKE CITY — Police were called to an apartment complex in Murray on Monday, where residents said a woman was trying to get into apartments that were not hers.

According to the police affidavit, when they arrived at 223 West District Edge Way, several residents and an apartment manager told police they’d seen the woman and described what she was wearing.

The resident told police they believed the woman lived nearby, but not in their complex.

A Murray City police officer said he saw a woman wearing the clothing that residents described and running away from the complex, southbound on 200 West.

The woman was eventually detained by police, who reportedly told her “numerous times” that she was not free to leave. However, police said she attempted to flee and was handcuffed.
