The Wetaskiwin Longhorns are on a role with a three-game winning streak to start the season.

After beating the Lacombe Generals 4-3 in their home opener, the Longhorns took out the Devon Barons 5-2 Wetaskiwin Thanksgiving Weekend before hitting the road to take on the Innisfail Eagles Sunday night.

Playing in the Innisfail Twin Arenas, the Longhorns opened the scoring halfway through the first period with a goal from Jake Mykitiuk. That was followed by a pair of goals from RJ Reed to put the team up 3-0 to start the game.

In the second, the Eagles got on the board, but Mykitiuk came back to restore the three-goal lead for Wetaskiwin.

A minute later, the Eagles cut the lead in half, the added two more to tie the game.
