LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A vehicle and a handgun were stolen in a central Lincoln neighborhood overnight Tuesday, police say.

The theft was reported around 6 a.m. at a home near 38th and F streets.

Police said a white 2018 Hyundai Tucson with Missouri in-transit license plates was stolen overnight.

The vehicle had damage to the front passenger side bumper area and a “LOU FUSZ” dealership paper on the front bumper area.

There was $10,000 worth of tools and a 9 mm Sig Sauer handgun inside the vehicle at the time of the theft.

Investigators are working to determine if this theft has any connection to a gunshot report near 40th and Randolph streets.
