COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho – A public hearing was held to discuss a proposed amendment to the Coeur Terre Development Agreement, which involves changing a designated area from cluster triplexes to active adult senior living and multifamily units. The 23-acre site is located south of Hanley Avenue and near school district 271 and is expected to bring 2,800 new homes into the area.

Kootenai County Land Company LLC is behind the request to amend the development agreement. Sean Holm with the city’s planning department explained the amendment aims to provide more flexibility in unit attachment, allowing for larger multifamily structures without increasing overall density.
