KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - The Chiefs’ upcoming opponent will likely be without their starting quarterback.

Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels is expected to miss Monday night’s game at Arrowhead Stadium with a hamstring injury, according to a report from NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

Daniels left Washington’s Week 7 loss at Dallas in the third quarter after taking a sack and did not return.

Marcus Mariota is slated to get his third start of the season in his place.

Daniels has missed a pair of games after suffering a knee sprain in a Week 2 loss to Green Bay. In five starts, the 2024 AP Rookie of the Year has thrown for 1,031 yards and eight touchdowns with one interception.
