Just three days before his beloved Dodgers were set to begin their 2025 World Series run, family and friends of the late die-hard fan Harold Matzner gathered Tuesday, Oct. 21, to celebrate him at a place he cherished as much as the ballpark: the McCallum Theatre.

Matzner, nicknamed "Mr. Palm Springs" for his work as a philanthropist, businessman and arts administrator, died Thursday, Sept. 4, in Palm Springs at the age of 88 following a brief illness. He was laid to rest on Sept. 10 in a private ceremony.
