Los Angeles Dodgers manager Dave Roberts announced the Dodgers’ starting pitchers for the first two games of the World Series against the Toronto Blue Jays.
Blake Snell will start game one against Toronto on Friday and Yoshinobu Yamamoto will start game two on Saturday, Roberts said Tuesday. Snell and Yamamoto also started games one and two of the National League Championship Series, which LA won in a 4-0 sweep over the Milwaukee Brewers .
Snell last pitched on Oct. 13 against Milwaukee, throwing eight scoreless innings while allowing just one hit, zero walks and striking out 10. He is 3-0 in three postseason starts, allowing just two runs in 21 innings (0.86 ERA), six hits, five walks and 28 strikeouts.
