ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — A new book titled "The Rockford Anthology" was officially published this week, offering a fresh perspective on the history and identity of the Rockford community.

Edited by Rachel León as part of Belt's City Anthology Series, the book features a collection of essays, poems, and photos contributed by various Rockford residents.

León describes the book as an opportunity to change the narrative about Rockford, highlighting the diverse voices and stories of the city's inhabitants.

"The Rockford Anthology" is available for purchase on Arcadia Publishing's website and at Maze Books on East State.

A live reading event is scheduled to take place on Wednesday at Rock Valley College, allowing the community to engage with the book's content and contributors.
