KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - Tony Vitello’s run at the helm of Tennessee baseball came to an end Tuesday, with news breaking that he’ll be headed to the major leagues to manage the San Francisco Giants. The championship-winning coach’s departure has garnered plenty of reaction.
He’ll make history as the first-ever college baseball coach to jump directly to the MLB with no professional experience.
