A prolific shoplifter has been jailed after breaching a supermarket ban and launching a crime spree.

Marcus Henry, 34, was handed a Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO) in May which banned him from entering a supermarket on Halesowen Street in Blackheath for three years.

But he entered the store and was recognised by a security guards on September 4.

Henry then committed a series of shop thefts in Dudley between September 19 and October 7.

He stole hundreds of pounds-worth of chocolate as he targeted four stores in Lye, Halesowen and Merry Hill.

Henry, of Spiral Close, Halesowen, admitted all offences at a hearing at Wolverhampton Magistrates' Court. He was jailed for four weeks.
