CHAPEL HILL — UNC basketball 's Luka Bogavac has been reinstated by the NCAA and the Tar Heels are "working" on getting the international prospect cleared by the university to play for the 2025-26 season.

“From an NCAA standpoint, yes. Institutionally-wise, we’re working on it. And we’re making progress," UNC coach Hubert Davis said on Wednesday, Oct. 22, during a press conference inside the media room at the Smith Center.

A university spokesperson said the athletic department and campus officials are working to get this situation resolved as soon as possible, but there's no timetable on when that will happen.

The 25th-ranked Tar Heels face No. 9 BYU on Friday, Oct. 24, at the Delta Center in Utah. The preseason exhibition game tips off at 9 p.m. ET and can be streamed on ESPN+.
