NORRISTOWN — A Norristown man will spend several years behind prison bars on charges he physically and sexually assaulted a woman he had recently begun dating.
James Derrick Suber, 50, of the 600 block of West Main Street, was sentenced in Montgomery County Court to 51 to 102 months in a state correctional facility on charges of aggravated assault, sexual assault, and false imprisonment in connection with incidents that occurred in September 2024.
Judge Wendy G. Rothstein, who accepted a plea agreement in the case, also ordered Suber to complete three years of probation, consecutive to parole, meaning Suber will be under court supervision for nearly a dozen years.
