PINSON, Ala. ( WBRC /Gray News) – An 18-year-old high school senior was taken off life support Tuesday after she was shot at a party over the weekend.

Kimber Mills, 18, was one of four people who were shot at a bonfire in Pinson, Alabama, near Birmingham, on Saturday.

Jefferson County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to the scene just before 12:30 a.m. Saturday, where they found Mills, an 18-year-old man and a 21-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds.

Officials later learned that a fourth person who had been shot, a 20-year-old woman, was taken to a local hospital by a personal vehicle.

Deputies say early investigations indicate that a fight broke out before shots were fired.
