CAROLINA BEACH, N.C. — You've been asking about the future of the iconic Britt's Donuts in Carolina Beach after its longtime owner Robert "Bobby" Nivens died last week at the age of 86. WFMY News 2's has been in touch with Niven's granddaughter who says Britt's isn't going anywhere.

Britt's was founded in 1939 by H.L. Britt. Nivens bought the shop and its top secret donut recipe in the 1970's. It's known for its made-from-scratch glazed donuts and has won numerous local, state and national awards and accolades over the decades.
