WOODFIN, N.C. (FOX Carolina) - The Woodfin Police Department reports charging a man and woman with drug trafficking.

Officers said the Cherokee Indian Police Department gave them information about two people suspected of trafficking fentanyl.

Police report executing a drug search warrant on Oct. 16, resulting in the seizure of around 57 grams of fentanyl and 20.3 grams of methamphetamine.

Tivan Saunooke and Alexandria Jackson were both charged with trafficking fentanyl by possession, trafficking fentanyl by manufacturing and possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver methamphetamine, according to officers.

The Weaverville Police Department assisted with executing the search warrant.
