AUSTIN (KXAN) -- A 34-year-old man was identified Wednesday in a fatal motorcycle-vehicle crash that happened over the weekend in south Austin, according to the Austin Police Department.
That man was identified as Mario Esai Navarro, according to police.
APD officers responded to the crash in the 9500 block of South First Street shortly before 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 19., per a news release from APD.
The motorcyclist, later identified as Navarro, was taken to a local hospital and later died from his injuries, according to police. The driver of the vehicle remained on the scene and cooperated with investigators.
This is now being investigated as Austin's 77th fatal crash of 2025, according to police.
