EASLEY, S.C. (FOX Carolina) - A hot air balloon made an unexpected landing in a neighborhood in Easley on Wednesday morning.
Tim Hoffman, the pilot of the hot air balloon, said he was coming from Tennessee when he was in need of a safe spot to land.
“So with balloons, we typically try to pick a safe spot to land that doesn’t have power lines and is big enough to drag [the balloon] a little bit,” Hoffman said.
The pilot eventually ended up landing in behind homes on Ashwood Way.
“I just descended over the town of Easley and spotted this beautiful subdivision right here and it had this nice open spot with no power lines so I just put it down here,” the pilot continued.
