HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- A man was killed in a shootout in a Sunnyside neighborhood on Tuesday morning.

Houston Police confirm the shooting happened around the same time a nearby home was burglarized. As of Tuesday evening, police were unable to publicly confirm if the two crimes were connected or not.

At approximately 10:40 a.m. Detective Cory Sharp said investigators were called to a shooting at the 7900 block of Comal Street.

Surveillance video shows a dark Cadillac pull up to the intersection of Red Bud and Comal Street and stop. A man on foot, carrying at least one bag, then approached the driver's side window.
