SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) - Indiana’s own Sydney Shrewsbury has been going viral for her state costume that she sported at Miss USA.

We spoke with Miss Indiana USA ahead of prelims Wednesday night and asked why she chose to support the Fever.

“I choose to represent the Fever and Caitlin Clark specifically because of everything that she’s done for woman and women’s sports. She’s had a tremendous impact the last few years and it feels right to represent her for my state costume for Women’s Empowerment Organization,” said Shrewsbury.

We also asked how Clark has been an inspiration to Shrewsbury.
