KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — Cancer doesn’t end at the hospital. In Knoxville, the Cancer Support Community East Tennessee (CSCET) offers free support groups and classes that help patients, survivors and caregivers cope with the emotional side of the disease.
“At Cancer Support Community East Tennessee, every conversation begins with one belief; no one should face cancer alone,” staff said.
The nonprofit hosts weekly support groups and workshops in yoga, mindfulness, art therapy and nutrition. All programs are free to anyone affected by cancer.
“One of the things that we do of which we’re most proud are our support groups that we offer for people with cancer or for loved ones of those with cancer, and what most members find in our support group is they find community,” said Denise Stillman
